Soon after, Melanie was awarded for Best New Artist by the P.A.I.N. Foundation, an organization dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence in neighborhoods.
"I am so excited to have won these awards! It's awesome because this event for the P.A.I.N foundation was what we based my entire Walk It Out Tour around - so it feels great to be recognized. I was completely not expecting to win either, so many other amazing artists were involved this year! The tour has already been amazing so this just made it even more memorable!" – Melanie Taylor
